Forget me not

Handfinished valentine's card comprising a paper panel printed with a garden scene with two lovers reclining on the grass in the foreground. Behind their heads, which are partially cut around, are inserted sprigs of dried grass. The panel is surrounded by two lace paper borders, an under border of cream and a top border of silver and white embossed with a floral design and attached to the under border by paper hinges or springs to give a 3d effect. This top border has applied decoration of garlands of cotton and embossed paper leaves and flowers and a paper cartouche printed 'Forget me not'.
