Handfinished valentine's card with applied decoration. The top sheet has a lace paper border with embossed scroll design. The central, rectangular shaped area is decorated with a floral bouquet formed from applied red and green silk leaves, paper flowers and handpainted foliage. Above and below is handwritten the verse 'Maiden hear a lovers prayer condemn him not to sad despair But say that I may call thee mine My first and only valentine'.
