Card, valentine card

Valentine's card with applied decoration. The top sheet is silver and white paper solid embossed with a floral design. Applied to this sheet are two embossed paper figures of classical maidens, embossed paper flowers and a paper scroll printed with a love verse. Attached below this layer is a sheet by Mossman with a lace paper border and embossed floral inner design surrounding a plain central panel. Applied to the panel is a paper print of a cottage beside a lake and two pressed cotton leaves. Below this second sheet is a third layer of lace paper embossed with an idyllic garden scene incorporating figures, flowers, vases, trees and a staircase. A sheet of pink fabric is inserted below to enhance the lace paper decoration.
