The Circus and Obelisk in St. George's Fields
Plan of the Circus and Obelisk in St. George's Fields, Southwark, with a front elevation of the north side of the obelisk, 'one mile from Fleet Street'. The area was notable for large gatherings of people at this time eg the 1780 assembly of the Protestant Association which led to the Gordon Riots on their march to Westminster.
