Card, valentine card

Multi-layered, handfinished valentine's card comprising an undersheet by Mossman of cream lace paper embossed with cupid and flower design. Applied above this layer is an oval shaped cream satin panel decorated with an applied bouquet of fabric flowers and dried grasses tied with a cream satin bow. The top layer is attached to the undersheet by paper springs.This sheet has a silver and lace paper border and a cut out oval area in the centre surrounded by a wreath of cream cotton and gilded paper leaves. Through the open area can be seen the applied bouquet below. The top layer is also decorated with embossed coloured paper 'scraps' of a bird and floral garlands and the lettering 'Forget m nt' (the e & o) are now missing.
