Forget Me Not

Handfinished valentine's card. The bottom sheet is uncoloured and embossed with a scroll border design surrounding a central panel with an image of an angel. Attached above this sheet by paper springs is a silver and white lace paper sheet embossed with a flower design and decorated with an applied ruched blue silk ribbon and four small garlands of pressed white cotton leaves and pink cotton flowers. The centre of this sheet is open revealing an applied silk oval panel below attached to the under layer by paper springs. This silk panel is hand-embroidered with a floral bouquet of silk thread and the message 'Forget me not' and surrounded by a frame of silver and white embossed lace paper.
