Dearest I love but thee
Handfinished valentine's card comprising a sheet of white card with applied white silk panel embroidered with a floral bouquet and the words 'Dearest I love but thee' surrounded by a white embossed lace paper frame. Attached to the card by six folded paper springs or hinges is a sheet of red silk with an applied border of embossed white lace paper. The central area of this sheet is open revealing the embroidered oval panel below. The panel is, however, partly concealed by an embossed cut out paper sunflower attached to one side of the red silk layer. This flower flaps down to reveal the embroidered panel below.
