Bound with Affection
Valentine's card comprising a top sheet of cotton net gauze surrounded by a gilded and white lace paper border. Applied to the gauze are paper figures, one of a young girl and one of an incomplete female figure, the head and arms now missing. This sheet is also decorated with applied fabric flowers and embossed, coloured paper leaves. An applied paper scroll is printed 'Bound with Affection'. Attached below this sheet is a sheet of green paper with a lace border by Windsor. Applied to the central area of this layer is a gilded and white lace paper sheet, also by Windsor, heavily embossed with a scene incorporating trees and two horseback figures flanked by two couples.
