Card, valentine card
Valentine's card with gilded and white lace paper top sheet formed from two identical lace paper borders with embossed gilded curtain design flanking a central area. The top half of this area is filled with a pink watered silk panel with applied decoration including a small embossed paper figure of cupid in a chariot surrounded by a wreath of pressed satin fabric with silver and blue embossed paper flowers and leaves. The lower half of the central area has an integral oval panel part gilded and cameo embossed with an image of cupid figures at play and rest.
