Affection's Offering
Multi-layered valentine's card handfinished with applied decoration. The card has a stiffened paper backing sheet attached to which, by paper springs or hinges, is a sheet of white paper with a silver and white embossed lace paper border. The central area of this sheet has an applied heart shaped piece of paper printed 'Affection's Offering' framed by a floral garland. Above is attached by paper hinges a second silver and white lace paper sheet with an embossed design incorporating pillars, an archway, deer and floral garlands. The central panel of this sheet if filled with a blue net gauze applied to which is a small embossed paper cherub figure. The applied heart shaped paper can be seen through the gauze.
