Card, valentine card
Handfinished valentine's card formed from two identical layers of lace paper placed one on top of the other and attached by folded paper springs or hinges to give a three dimensional effect. The layers are formed from two identical lace paper borders embossed with a design incorporating steps down to a river on which is a boat rowed by cupid and containing a male and female figures. The inner sheet of the card has an applied silver paper moon and some green metal foil stars. When the card is closed this decoration shows through the gauze panel.
