Printed Ephemera — 1860-1880
My Love for you is ever True
Handfinished Valentine's card comprising a top sheet of uncoloured lace paper with embossed design surrounding a plain panel with handpainted decoration of a pink heart with a small house painted within, surrounded by a floral wreath with the message 'My love for you is ever true'. There is an additional oval shaped paper panel applied to the side of the card. This is handpainted with a red heart with an arrow surrounded by a floral wreath. This implies that the card was a sample card only.
