Programme
Programme for a performance by the Moore & Burgess minstrel troupe at St James's Hall, Piccadilly.This four page programme refers to a performance on November 16th but the year is unknown. The programme notes that the performance also featured 'an entirely new' feature, a mocking 'lecture on woman's rights' performed by Mr Eph Horn.
The front cover is printed with an engraved illustrated border depicting the minstrels. The programme also provides information of public transport serving the venue including a timetable for the last trains out of London.
The Moore & Burgess minstrels were established by the New York born George Washington 'Pony' Moore and Frederic Burgess in 1865 For over 30 years they performed nightly at St. James's Hall in Piccadilly.
