Printed Ephemera — 1832
Playbill
Playbill of Madame Vestris' Royal Olympic Theatre. Madame Vestris leased the Royal Olympic Theatre from 1830-1839. Vestris was London's first female actor-theatre manager, and introduced innovative staging techniques. Under her management the Olympic showed plays that burlesqued classical themes. Orpheus and Eurydice was an early example of these plays.
