Card, valentine card
Handfinished valentine's card, the front formed from two layers of lace paper attached by folded paper 'springs' to give a 3d effect. The under layer is by J.T.Wood and has a plain white rectangular shaped panel with lace paper border. Applied to the centre is a paper panel printed with a coloured illustration of an angelic figure surrounded by foliage and motifs such as butterflies. The top layer is of silver and white lace paper with an embossed design incorporating vine leaves and grapes. This sheet has an open central oval panel revealing the illustration applied on the panel below. The open panel is framed by a wreath of applied silver and green paper leaves. The four corners of the card have applied embossed paper flower garland 'scraps'.
