Card, valentine card
Handfinished Valentine's card comprising two identical layers of lace paper embossed with a design incorporating a church flanked by trees, flowers and foliage. The central roundel of the top panel is filled with a panel of cotton net with a central silver embossed paper cut out figure of cupid. This panel is framed by a wreath of applied fabric flowers, feathers and embossed paper leaves. Below is a paper scroll printed 'I love thee as the glad bird loves the freedom of his wing'.
