Printed Ephemera — 1850
Menu
A menu for a dinner held at the Mansion House on Tuesday 7 May 1850. This menu is printed in blue on white paper with an elaborate floral and scrolled lace paper border, headed with a coloured and gilded crest.
A large amount of dishes are detailed on the menu, including a 'Turtle and Iced Punch' which is printed in bold, as well as 'Fried Fish', ' Raised Ornamented Pies', 'Ornamented Trifles' and 'Maraschino, Dantzic and Noyeau Jellies'.
