Will you be my Partner?
Handfinished Valentine's card comprising a sheet of cream lace paper embossed with flower and flag design surrounding a central panel of cotton net. Applied to the central panel a garland of embossed paper flowers and a cut out open book printed 'Engagements for the next ball'. On the inner page is handwritten 'Will you be my partner?', this shows through the cotton net when the card is closed. Handwritten in the embossed flags of the lace paper are the words 'waltz', 'quadrille', 'Schottische' and 'Redowa'.
