Card, valentine card
Handfinished valentine's card of white lace paper with embossed vine, leaf and bird decoration and central oval panel. Handwritten on the panel 'I' and on the watch 'for you dear Oh for the happy hour to call you mine'. Applied to the panel is a gilded paper roundel with embossed decoration representing a watch dial. The dial lifts up to reveal the word 'Love' written on the panel below. A cut out paper cupid is applied at the top of the watch dial and an applied gilded paper watch chain frames part of the dial.
