Card, valentine card
Handfinished Valentine's card comprising a white lace paper border with embossed shell and coral design. The card has a central cream satin panel hand-painted with two flowers surrounded by applied lace paper and embossed flower wreath. Also decorated with a small scrap printed 'Wilt thou be mine'. Inside the card are applied paper purple tulips which flap down. One has a handwritten message beneath 'Come and see me soon'. Above is handwritten the question 'When is a butterfly like a kiss? When it alights on tulips'.
