Card, valentine card
Handfinished Valentine's card comprising a sheet of white lace paper with embossed flower wreath surrounding a central oval panel. Two heart shapes are cut out from the panel to reveal the faces of a man and a woman applied to the inner sheet below. The bodies which are only revealed when the card is open have been sketched below the two applied paper heads. Above the heads is handwritten 'True Sweethearts'. Also applied to the top panel beneath the heads is an arrangement of embossed paper flowers and leaves and a piece of paper printed with a scroll & the wording 'Can hearts in which true love is plighted By weal or woe be disunited? No! they the storms of life defy, So let the hearts of '.
