Card, valentine card
Valentine's card of embossed and lace paper layers with applied decoration. The bottom layer is white and embossed with a scene including staircases, a boat, birds and flowers. In the centre is applied a cream satin panel decorated with an applied garland of coloured fabric and embossed paper flowers and leaves. The top lace paper layer is painted silver and is in the form of an arched doorway with classical pillars embossed with a figure of a reclining female and peacock. Applied decoration to this layer includes two pearl balls and embossed and coloured paper flower 'scraps'.
