Card, valentine card
Valentine's card comprising three layers of decorative lace paper. The top sheet is formed from white and gilded lace paper with cameo style embossing of classical figures. In the open centre is stuck a coloured illustration of a young maiden carrying a garland and leading two doves. Above is a circular illustration of two coloured doves, below is an embossed and coloured 'scrap' of flowers. The second layer is formed from white lace paper with cameo style embossing. In the open centre is stuck a coloured illustration of a flower arrangement. The third layer is formed from lace paper painted silver. Within two cartouches are stuck two pieces of paper with coloured illustrations of flower arrangements. Above is a piece of paper printed 'Firm and Faithful Fond and True, Such my love I'll prove to you'.
