Card, valentine card
Valentine's card of embossed and lace paper representing an elaborate church altar with figures. The embossing on the front cover is largely painted silver, the embossed decoration is continued on the back inner sheet of card. The centre of the card is decorated with a satin pad on which is applied an embossed paper dove. The pad is surrounded by an embossed coloured flower wreath and fabric flowers below. Inside is applied a shaped satin piece of fabric printed with the verse 'United Hearts, There is a care that will not leave us, And paint that will not flee; But on our hears, unaltered, - Sits Love 'tween you and me. -Our love, it ne'er was reckoned, Yet good it is and true; It's all the world to me, dear;- It's all the world to you'. The card is embossed Mossman London.
