Mr Wood as Three Fingered Jack
Theatrical portrait printed with an engraving of the actor Mr Wood in the role of Three Fingered Jack. The portrait has been cut out and stuck on card handcoloured with appropriate background scenery and the title obscured. The portrait is embellished with metal foil tinsel ornaments on the clothing and the weapons. Cotton and silk fabric has been applied for the clothing. Such portraits would have been sold plain as theatrical souvenirs for colouring and tinselling at home. Coloured and sold wholesale and retail by J.Redington (Hoxton) at his Theatrical Print, Play and Tinsel Shop and by J.King (Somers Town).
