The portrait has been cut out from a paper sheet and stuck on a piece of card handcoloured with background scenery and one of the arms is missing. The hat has a metal foil brim. Such portraits would have been sold plain as theatrical souvenirs for colouring and tinselling at home. Coloured, published and sold wholesale and retail by J.Redington at his Theatrical Print Play & Tinsel Warehouse and by J.King (Somers Town).
