Coin, sestertius
A copper alloy sestertius coin of Emperor Nero, ruler of the Roman Empire, AD 54-68. The back of the coin depicts a triumphal arch. This coin was minted in Rome, Italy, AD 54-68.
Obv: Laureate head of Nero, facing left, small globe at point of bust. Obv inscription: NERO CLAVD CAESAR AVG PM TRP IMP PP. Rev: A triumphal arch with a wreath hung across it, above the Emperor is standing in a quadriga, escorted by Victory and Peace, in a niche in the side of the arch is a statue of Mars. Rev inscription: SC in field.
