Card, valentine card

Handfinished, three dimensional valentine's card incorporated within an original cardboard box with a glass lid. The card comprises an undersheet of cream paper with a lace paper border embossed with a floral design by Mossman. This sheet is applied directly onto the base of the box. Attached above, by means of paper springs, is a light blue and gilded lace paper sheet embossed with a floral design. In the centre is an envelope shaped opening through which can be seen a paper oval applied below printed with the motto "Affection's offering to My true love" surrounded by a floral wreath. Applied to three corners of the lace paper sheet are embossed paper floral bouquets. The box is of card, the outer sides covered with black paper.
