Handwritten letter addressed to 'My dear Blanche' and signed 'Mary Adelaide'. Dated November 23rd 1872, this is one of two letters written by the Duchess of Teck to the Countess of Kinnoull. Handwritten on two sides of a sheet of folded paper with embossed letterhead in blue marked 'White Lodge, Richmond Park'. The letter is folded within an original envelope addressed to the 'Countess of Kinnoull Dupplin Castle Perthshire'. Complete with a red penny postage stamp a postmark 'London W No 25 72'. The envelope also has the embossed mark 'White Lodge Richmond Park' on the reverse, with another black ink postage stamp.
