Printed Ephemera — C. 1890-1914
Failure is Impossible
Postcard with photographic portrait of Susan B. Anthony, who campaigned for American women's rights from the 1850s. She later became president of the National American Woman Suffrage Association.
The two citations on the postcard were included in the eulogy delivered by the Reverend Anna Howard Shaw at Susan B. Anthony's funeral in Rochester, New York, on 15 March 1906. 'Failure is impossible' were the last words Anthony addressed to a public audience.
