A silver denarius coin of Emperor Trajan, ruler of the Roman Empire, AD 98-117. The back of the coin depicts Victoria, the Roman goddess of victory. This coin was possibly minted in Rome, Italy, AD 98-99.
Obv: Laureate bust of Trajan, facing right, left shoulder draped. Obv inscription: IMP CAES NERVA TRAIAN AVG GERM. Rev: Victory, seated left, holding a patera (dish) in her extended right hand and a palm in the left. Rev inscription: PM TRP COS [II PP(?)].
