Shaw
George Bernard Shaw was a contemporary of Oscar Wilde and both left their mark on the metropolis as dramatists. Shaw was born in Dublin. He made his reputation in London as a music and drama critic and leading socialist. In the early 1900s he gained international fame for his plays. His best known dramas are ‘Arms and the Man’ and ‘Pygmalion’, which was later made into the musical ‘My Fair Lady’.
