Postcard with photographic portrait of Phyllis Neilson Terry (1892-1977) produced in support of the pro-female suffrage campaign. Below is printed 'Phyllis Neilson Terry'. The front of the postcard is signed. On the back is handwritten 'Brighton Jan 1924 Miss Neilson.'
Phyllis Neilson Terry was from a theatrical family and her aunt was famous actress Ellen Terry. Neilson Terry began her stage career in 1909 and later appeared in films and on television. Ellen Terry was a member of the Actresses’ Franchise League and appeared in plays and performances produced by the organisation.
