Pennant, Vespa pennant
Red triangular pennant produced by the Vespa Club of Great Britain. One of a group of Vespa memorabilia given to the Museum by Eric Montague, a member of the South London Vespa Club who acquired his first Vespa scooter in 1956. The Vespa Club of Great Britain was formed in 1952 with 6 branches and by 1960 had 150 affiliated branches. It organised national rallies, the first in Brighton in 1952.
