Handcuffs
This pair of chain-linked steel handcuffs was used on board the ship Montrose in 1910 to arrest Dr Crippen for his wife’s murder. Pair steel handcuffs used to arrest Dr. Crippen. They are stamped "PAT / MAY 1899" and were given to the donor by ex-Detective Sergeant William Stephens to whom they had been given by Inspector Dew, the officer who arrested Crippen.
