The Peacock
Isaac Blissett issued this trade token, worth a farthing, for his business at Peacock Alley Gate, in Whitechapel, Middlesex.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 3390; Obv inscription: ISAAC. BLISSETT. IN. WH. CHAPEL (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A peacock (in field); Rev inscription: AT.PEACOCK.ALLY.GATE (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = I.H.B. / 1667 (triad of initials in Roman capitals with date below, in field).
