Elizabeth Daughter of Sr James Boucher, Wife of Oliver Cromwell, commonly call'd Joan or Protectress Cromwell. Elizabeth Bourchier (15981665) married Cromwell on 22 August 1620. They had eight children. Her father Sir James Bourchier was a London merchant who owned extensive land in Essex and had strong connections with puritan gentry families there.
