Charles I facing his judges in a court room scene set in Westminster Hall. The trial is attended by numerous people; in the foreground there are viewers and armed guards, in the mid-ground 3 lawyers and towards the back of the court room the jury made up of parliamentarians as well as further viewing galleries on left and right.
