Saw
This compass saw forms part of a group of tools contained in a fine early 19th century toolchest. Many of the tools are marked W Gray. The saw is marked 'BL' on the handle and was possibly not part of the original compliment of tools in the chest. A compass saw was used to cut out interior curves in a piece of wood where there was insufficient space to use a bow saw.
