Gold-coloured metal circular medallion. On one side in the centre is an embossed head of man in profile, facing to the left. Around the circumference is the embossed inscription 'Iohannes Philippus Kemble/ I.G. Hancock Sculp Ad Vevum'. On the reverse side in the centre is the embossed inscription 'Tragoedus / Anglicus / aet XLI. MDCCXCVIII', with an embossed laurel wreath surrounding it.
