Mary Stringar issued this trade token, worth a half penny, for his business in Little Trinity Lane.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 3234; Obv inscription: MARY.STRINGAR.1669 (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A hand pouring from a coffee-pot into one of two cups on a table, on which there are two tobacco pipes (in field); Rev inscription: IN.LITTLE.TRINITY.LANE (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = HER / HALF / PENY (in three lines of Roman capitals, in field).
