Doll's fichu
White cotton fichu for a doll. A fichu is a piece of decorative material worn over the shoulders and tied in a bow at the chest, often worn to cover a low neckline. Children have played with dolls for thousands of years, copying the actions of their parents. Dolls with changeable outfits are very popular and dolls would have had a variety of shop bought and home made outfits. This fichu was made to fit a doll in our collection - Accession number 67.80
