Poster for the Banqueting Hall at the Rosherville Gardens, Gravesend. The gardens were built in 1837 in a disused chalk pit near the River Thames, just north of London Road in Northfleet. The large Banqueting Hall, one of the gardens many attractions, could seat as many as 1000 people and is illustrated at the top of the poster. Tea and Coffee were charged at 1 shilling each.
