Paintings, Prints & Drawings — C. 1750
A View of the Foundling Hospital
The Foundling Hospital, in Guilford Street, was founded in 1742. The buildings were demolished in 1926 when the hospital moved to Berkhampstead, but many of the fine features were retained in a new house at 40 Brunswick Square. The grounds remain a children's playground.
This is a reduced-size version of A18053 and Z2314.
