Saxon & Medieval — Late Medieval; 14th century-15th century
Sheath
Leather knife sheath decorated on the front with simple incised crescents and lines and impressed horizontal lines. The back has very simple incised lines. The decoration is separated into handle and blade areas by a slight ridge. There are four suspension slots at the back. There is a centre back seam with flesh/grain stitch holes. This is for quite a small knife with a chunky handle. There is some damage at the tip.
