Sheath
Leather knife sheath decorated with impressed linear and heraldic designs. The back has a side of back seam with edge/grain stitch holes and linear decoration. The front is decorated with two fleur-de-lys above a shield containing a fess between two chevrons; this device is associated with the Fitzwalter family (Wilmott, 1981, 132-139; Wilmott in Cowgill et al, 1987, 45). There are four suspension slots on the back for two vertical cords.
