Post-Medieval — Late Medieval; 15th century
Unknown
An urn-shaped object with a narrow aperture at one end and a now damaged, but wider opening at the other. The narrow opening has a single internal thread. The body is decorated with circumferentially turned ridges. No marks. Date: late 15th - 17th century.
The function of this object is unknown. It is very difficult to date, but it was found with objects of late 15th and early 16th century date. An early 17th century is also possible because of the delicacy of the pewter walls adn the intricacy of the turning.
