Halfpenny
This George IV halfpenny coin was found on an archaeological excavation at Arthur Street in the City of London, near London Bridge. Before George IV became king, he ruled as regent from 1811 to 1819 when his father, King George III, was too ill to fulfil his royal duties. This period is commonly known as the 'Regency period'.
