Drinking glass, goblet
Footed cup made in Sea Green glass. The lipped bowl set on a merese and blown trumpet foot with rolled edge. The bowl wheel-engraved with stylized lotus leaves. Pattern no. O. 2366, designed by Harry Powell cf. Notebook: Glasses with Histories, where it is described as, 'Adapted from a golden cup found at Bubastis [in 1906] which probably belonged to Queen Tausert of the XIX Dynasty: lotus decoration', reproduced in W. Evans, C. Ross and A. Werner, Whitefriars Glass. James Powell & Sons of London, London 1995, pl. 403 on p. 271. It was exhibited in 1910 at the Arts and Crafts Exhibition.
