Seal matrix
Shield shaped seal matrix with a loop on the back. It is decorated with a shield of arms bearing a rampant lion. Around the edge of the matrix is an inscription in Lombardic letters: "S' W LAURENS". This seal matrix belonged to a W Laurens who may have been a merchant. W Laurens would have used the matrix to press into wax to seal and authenticate documents.
